Laurie Frick received a Master of Business Administration degree from University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA and worked as an executive in high technology before completing a Master of Fine Arts degree from New York Studio School, New York, NY. Her methodical process involves collecting data from everyday experiences and reconstructing it into analog units of measure and duration. Frick has had solo exhibitions at Texas State University, San Marcos, TX; Marfa Contemporary, Oklahoma City, OK; Edward Cella Art + Architecture, Los Angeles, CA; Robert Steele Gallery, New York, NY; and Gallery Lombardi, Austin, TX. Group exhibitions include Wesbeth Gallery, New York, NY; Talley Dun Gallery, Dallas, TX; Haskins Laboratories, Yale University, New Haven, CT; ArtSpace, Houston, TX. She has participated in residencies at the Neuroscience Imaging Research Center, University of Texas; Lower East Side Printshop, New York, NY; and Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts, Omaha, NE.
